Both Eurogamer and Boomtown are offering the chance to win limited edition statues of Lord Recluse, but time is short!

The chaps at Eurogamer have no less than five statues to give away, along with copies of City of Heroes and City of Villains. You can enter their competition here.

Boomtown, on the other hand, has three of these hand-painted works of art on offer. All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is answer the questions that can be found here.

Villains, prepare to experience our first ever Double XP Weekend event! The rules are simple - all characters will receive double the XP for all of their accomplishments in the game for the duration of the event. What’s more, Infamy and Prestige awards will also be doubled during this time!

The Double XP Weekend will begin at 9am BST* on Friday 21 July, and run through to 9pm BST* on Sunday 23 July.

We’re pleased to announce that the winner of the Creative Genius competition for June is Corona for the superb Shock Tactics group shot, which received multiple nominations.

It was a close-run thing, though, with stiff competition from the excellent Monte Cristo at Croatoa by soulasylum. After much discussion, Corona’s piece just pipped it to the post, but if soulasylum produces more work like this, it won’t be long before he grabs a Creative Genius title of his very own.

For now, though, congratulations to Corona, who is now the proud owner of a ‘Creative Genius’ title on the official message boards and 60 days of free game time!

The Creative Genius competition is a monthly contest held on the Creative board. We’re still accepting nominations for October 2005 to May 2006, which will bring us back up to date.

The Nominations for July’s Creative Genius will be opened in the first week of August, so get posting!

Inspired by their success with the competition at The Sun Online, the Arachnos Propaganda Department is pleased to announce that several more prominent websites have been ‘persuaded’ to assist in Lord Recluse’s latest recruitment drive.

The result is even more chances for you to win shiny new copies of City of Heroes and City of Villains, along with limited edition hand-painted Lord Recluse statues! Carefully crafted and accurate in every detail, only a few hundred of these statues of our mighty leader have been made, so make sure you grab the chance to win one.

In one of their finest operations to date, the Arachnos Propaganda Department has successfully infiltrated the offices of The Sun Online, the official website for The Sun newspaper, and enlisted their aid in a new recruitment drive.

The result is that The Sun Online has 10 copies of City of Villains to give away, along with 10 exclusive limited edition, hand-painted Lord Recluse statues - just the thing for any aspiring Dark Lord’s mantlepiece!
