It’s going to be a villainous Halloween

European release dates for City of Villains announced.

The day of our destiny approaches! After years of meticulous planning and preparation, our mighty Lord Recluse has announced that City of Villains will soon be unleashed upon the world. Rise and rejoice, my dark brethren! This Halloween will be a dark day for the so-called ‘heroes’ of Paragon City.

The European City of Villains servers will open on Monday, 31 October, 2005.

The game itself will be available in stores across Europe on Friday, 28 October, 2005.

Please bear in mind that, although you will be able to buy the game on Friday, the servers will not open until Monday.

If you don’t think you’ll be able to bear waiting for Halloween, though, there is an answer. Pre-order customers will receive a special two-day head-start over the weekend of 29 and 30 October, allowing them to begin their villainous careers and get the drop on the competition. So pre-order now to be among the first to prove their worth to Arachnos!

i’m under 18 so i wont get into the beta right ?

which could be a good thing /images/smileys/smile.gif that way i don’t get bored with the game before it even gets released ! and also i do’nt see the point in spending my time building a character 2 see him deleted after like a month :D

I can buy the game for £17.99 from http://www.play.com but from your pre-order retailers it is on average approximately £8 more. Can you tell me why that is?

From what I understand because they are Based in Jersey they are exempt from Tax so they can afford to drop their prices alot and they don’t have to charge Shipping either as it’s free to them....now thats what I call decent business sense /images/smileys/smile.gif

the point is you get to try out character before starting that way you have a better idea of where you want to spend points, saves respecing later.

i dont think this is the case if i am lucky enough to get into beta i will use the time to find out the best builds possible perhaps getting them to level 2 just so i know which is the best then using the 2 day head start to truly rain evil on the unsuspecting world

I was wondering if the was any news on the pre-orders starting the beta.. i mean i dont wanna pay an extra 8 pounds to play for 1 week more than everyone else. And if its soon are the keys sent out for all .. or in waves for X amount of people a day.
